|Going above and beyond is what gets Mercy Super’s Tanya Denham going each day – looking forward to helping members who often don’t have the time to take care of themselves, as they are focused on caring for others.
Not content with the service she currently provides, Tanya is looking to help members that might be suffering from financial stress by providing counselling and support through their difficult times. By expanding her skillset through the completion of a financial counselling course, Tanya would bring to the team additional capabilities to support members through Mercy Super’s financial wellbeing program.
She’s not the only one that thought it was great idea. At a recent national conference for the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees in Adelaide, Tanya was awarded the annual Leadership Development Scholarship award for an Outstanding Fund Staff Member. Tanya’s dedication and member-first focus stood out from applications received from super funds across the country.
Mercy Super’s CEO Wendy Tancred couldn’t be prouder. “It’s the unseen behind the scenes things we do that make a big difference to the lives of individual members”, she said. “This is what makes us different from other super funds and Tanya has always had the mindset to go that extra step to help out members in need. This award recognises the real difference Tanya has and will continue to make to deliver better outcomes for our members.”
