Why Mercy Super

Run just for you

Mercy Super is a profit-for-members fund that exists solely to look after its membership community. That means we can focus on delivering quality products and services that are designed for people like you.

Being part of the Mater, we’re always accessible and you even get to have a say who is on the Trustee Board. As a member you can even run to be a director yourself.

Mercy Super members enjoy a simple administration fee of just 0.25% p.a. which is capped at $600 per year (that kicks in when your balance goes over $240,000).

There is no fixed ‘weekly’ fee, no fee for changing investment options, nor buy-sell spreads, no other transaction costs. Simple.

Insurance in your super

Sometimes retirement doesn’t come the way you planned and that’s when we look to insurance cover for support when life takes an unexpected turn.

We offer a comprehensive insurance cover package which includes income protection cover. If you join Mercy Super within 120 days of starting with Mater, you can opt-in for the cover without the need to provide medical evidence.

Important things to consider

Before joining Mercy Super, please read our Product Disclosure Statement along with our Insurance, Investment and Super Account Guides to decide whether Mercy Super is appropriate for you.

We recommend that you consider seeking financial advice before making any decision about transferring your superannuation, as this may affect fees and insured benefits which you currently have.

What happens now?

You’ll need to send your completed Choice of superannuation fund form to Mater Payroll for processing.

Your new Mercy Super account will be established when we receive your first contribution from Mater. Mater remit contributions monthly so, depending on when you lodged your request, it could take 4-6 weeks for your account to be established.

In the meantime if you have any questions or want to talk to us about your super options – just get in touch.
