Mercy Super is the super fund established and run for our exclusive membership community. Throughout our history we have always put our members first.
One of the ways the Fund reflects the needs of our members is by having three of the six directors of the Board of the Fund’s Trustee, Mercy Super Pty Ltd (ABN 98 056 047 324), nominated and elected by the members themselves. These are known as Member Directors.
Following our recent Call for Nominations for a vacant Member Director position (which will become vacant from 1 July 2019) we have two candidates standing for this position. In accordance with Mercy Super’s Process for appointing Member Directors, this means a ballot will be held to determine this position.
The candidate who receives the highest number of votes will be declared elected and will hold office for up to four years, starting 1 July 2019.
Eligible voters are current Mercy Super members at the date the ballot register is set. While voting is not compulsory, Trustee elections let you have a say in who is on your Trustee Board.
The Trustee has appointed an independent election administrator, CorpVote Pty Ltd (ABN 53 130 493 417), to manage the voting process and voting will take place through their secure online voting platform. Once voting opens, all interactions and communications relating to the ballot will be managed by CorpVote to ensure independence and transparency of the process. An independent Returning Officer, Mr Paul Collins of PricewaterhouseCoopers, will also supervise the ballot process.
To maintain independence of the election process, all enquires during the election period will be handled by CorpVote. If you need any further information or support on lodging your vote, after the ballot has opened on 1 May 2019, you can contact CorpVote Support by calling 1300 147 797 or sending an email to email@example.com
